CAP | Oakland works to assist homeless individuals get ready for employment with services and resources that will enable them to be prepared to work as soon as feasible.

CAP participants also clean the streets monthly. Street cleaning is a visible contribution to the community that restores dignity and a work ethic.  CAP participants receive small stipends in the form of gift cards, public transportation, clothes and other support to meet basic needs. Life skills courses prepare participants mentally to return to work. We partner with residents and local businesses to create work opportunities.
